Alicia West

<p>Alicia LaTonya West affectionally known as &ldquo;Minute&rdquo; was born on February 21, 1976 to Arlene West and Victor McCloud in Trenton, NJ. She departed this earthly life for her eternal resting place on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.</p> <p>She was educated in the Trenton School System and graduated from Trenton Central High School. Minute worked many years for H&amp;R Block as a tax preparer which inspired her to start her own business &ldquo;In A Minute Tax Preparation&rdquo;.</p> <p>Minute, with her bright smile and dimples, was always a social butterfly. She was an active member of Black Girls Who Rock, High Rollers and Kings &amp; Queens Social Club. Minute prided herself on giving back; she loved providing community service, participating in fundraisers, and feeding the homeless. There are so many great things that could be said about her like how her door was also open whether someone needed a place to stay, eat or shower she was there. Minute&rsquo;s life would seem too short to many but those who were touched by her understands the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.</p> <p>Alicia was preceded in death by her grandmother, Carrie Lee Shuman, her uncle Leon West, her aunt, Leedna West-Howard who she called &ldquo;Nana Bop&rdquo; and her talented nephew, Daquan &ldquo;Nuna&rdquo; Patterson.</p> <p>She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Arlene West and Victor McCloud, her &ldquo;Dad&rdquo;, Harold Fowler; her daughters, Erickah West and Shamiyah Sutphin-West and her son, Khymir West-Lewis; her grandchildren, Zyair, J&rsquo;Lani, Jasai, Journee, Jaxaia; She will be also dearly missed by her sisters, Toshawn West, Sharon Spady (Robert), Alicia Cotman, Katrina Cotman, Sheree Cotman; her brothers, Andre and Quincy West; her godbrothers, Harold and Tyler Fowler; aunt, Shirley Ward, uncle, Gregory West, great-aunts, Louella Whiting and Laura Mae Wilson; great-uncles, John and Horace Shuman; her best friends, Bryant Bethea, Afrika Goode, Marlise Maisto, Tiffany Pempleton and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Funeral service will be 1pm Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 12pm until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.</p>

Funeral service will be 1pm Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 12pm until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
