Jesus Avila Obituary

Jesus "Jesse" Avila, a dearest brother, son, father and friend was called to Heaven on Monday, September 6, 2021 at the young age of 40.
Jesse was born in East Los Angeles on November 11, 1980. Jesse and his family then moved to Porterville in 1991, where he attended Belleview Elementary School, Bartlett Middle School, and Porterville High School. Jesse left so many memories for his family and friends to cherish in their hearts, everywhere that he went. Jesse was loved by so many. His smile would light up a room, his laughter was contagious.

Jesse was a big kid at heart and loved to tell jokes. Anyone that knew Jesse also knew how good he was at mimicking people, especially our dad. Man, he was good! Even if his jokes were not funny, he would make you laugh either way.

Jesse had the best taste in music, if you needed a good playlist, call brother Jesse because he liked a little bit of everything, from Old-school to Corridos you name it. When it came to music, he was your guy and with every song there was a story behind it.

Jesse also loved to cook. His specialty was Chilito de carne and his famous breakfast pancakes, oh how his kiddos loved them. Breakfast pancakes were a must have whenever Jesse cooked breakfast. Jesse's favorite holiday was Thanksgiving because he loved gathering at mom's house to have a big Thanksgiving feast with all of his family. Mom's stuffing was his favorite.

Jesse was a very caring, helpful, funny and loving person. Jesse loved his family, especially his three children, Anel, Issac, and Nicolas. His children meant the world to him, and he would do anything and everything for them.

Jesse's presence will forever be with us in mind and spirit. Jesse taught us to never take things too serious, life is too short to worry about the small things.

Jesse will be deeply missed here on Earth, but will always live on with us. Jesse is in a better place where he can spend eternity with your beautiful son, Diego Avila, who has
been patiently waiting. Until we meet again.

Jesse is survived by his parents, Juana and Salvador Avila, his three children Anel, Isaac and Nicolas Avila, his four siblings, Deura, Denise, Andrew and Adrian
Avila, and his three nieces, Valerie, Natalie, And Siena.

The Final Flight

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,

I'm following the path God laid for me.

I took his hand when I heard his call,

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not say another day,

To laugh, to love, to work, to play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way,

I've found that peace at the end of the day.

If my parting has left a void,

Then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,

Ah, yes, these things too I will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My Life's been full, I savoured much,

Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,

Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and share with me,

God wanted me now, He set me free.
