Edith Yvonne Evans was a caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and friend.  She slipped peacefully from this world on September 11, 2021, at age 61, to fly with the angels.

Edith was the third of four children, born on February 16, 1960, to Clarence Key and Anna Veta McClure in Torrance, CA.  She married Bill Evans on April 24, 1992, in Sapulpa Oklahoma.

Edith loved simple pleasures best, such as fishing at the lake with family and friends, the sound of wind chimes and doing little things to see her loved one’s smile. She never backed down from a challenge. When someone told her something could not be done, she had a “watch me go” response.

Edith was a caretaker with a compassionate heart who tirelessly attended to the needs of her mother, her husband, and their daughter.

She is survived by,

Husband: Bill Evans.

Mother: Anna Veta Laughter

Sister: Vallery Robertson. 

Daughters and Sons: Shanna Jordan, Misty Evans, Nancy Keisley, Frank Evans, Dr. John Evans. 

Niece and Nephews: Amanda Holmes, Jeremy Holmes, and Dallas Nigh.

Grandchildren: Jesse Jordan, David Clark, Aron Evans, and Graham Evans.

Services will be September 16, 2021, at 2:00 pm, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
