Earl Carl Zanone

Earl Carl Zanone, age 75, of 551 Tunnel Hill Road, Millboro, Virginia died Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the Alleghany Health and Rehabilitation Center, Clifton Forge. Earl was born August 18, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Ercole and Amelia Zanone and was a proud first generation United States citizen. He was a retired maintenance worker for Western State Hospital, but was also a “Jack of all trades” who enjoyed gardening, cane making, and Italian food. Considered a “train man”, Earl had a special interest in model trains and kept his garage filled with operating models. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Mae Herring Zanone. He is survived by a daughter, Freda Lynn McAllister and husband Bobby, and a son, Earl P. Zanone, both of Millboro; four grandchildren, Cassie S. Zanone, Casey McAllister, Joshua McAllister, and Beth McAllister; and seven great grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 10:30 AM in Craigsville Cemetery with Reverend Pete Grimm officiating. Interment will immediately follow. The family will visit with friends following the service at the cemetery. Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling arrangements.

Your Dad was a joy to take care of we talked Baseball I was Dodger fan and he was a Braves fan we had our discussions about the World Series . I will think of him often.
