Linda Howard

Linda Joy Howard, 74, of Moberly passed away at her home, surrounded by family on September 10, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Linda was born April 13, 1947 in Moberly, MO to William “Bill” Avery and Helen Roberts Avery. She was a lifelong resident of Moberly and a graduate of Moberly High School. On March 15, 1964 in Moberly, she was united in marriage to Thomas “Tom” Howard. Linda enjoyed camping and fishing every year at Bennett Springs with her grandchildren. She also very much liked “winning big” at the casino. Her family and friends will always remember her for her compassion and love for them. Those preceding her in death are her parents, Bill and Helen Avery; infant son, Gary Wayne Howard; daughter-in-law Tammy Huntsman Howard. Linda is survived by her husband Tom, Moberly; sons, William Howard, Moberly and Mark (Candace) Howard, Centralia; daughter, Tricia (Brian) Pace, Centralia; grandchildren, Levi (Nicole) Howard, Columbia, Benjamin “Ben” Howard, Moberly, Nathan “Nate” Pace, Centralia, Hanna Howard, Moberly, Bailey Pace, Centralia; brothers, David Avery, Moberly, Danny (Elaine) Avery, Moberly, Steven (Nancy) Avery, Moberly; sisters, Nancy (Kenny) Brandow, Moberly, Anna “Jan” (Ron) Wilson, Moberly; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Services for Linda will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, C/O Memorial Processing; 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
