Obituary

Rhonda Laeh Hamilton went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 10, 2021, after a year-long battle with cancer.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Billie Martin, and her grandson, Logan Hamilton.  Rhonda is survived by her two children, Kimberly Swanson and her husband, Randy; Eric Hamilton and his wife, Heather; and her six grandchildren; W. Hunter Swanson and his wife, Kathryn, Baylee Swanson, Jesse Hamilton, Evan Hamilton, Landon Hamilton, and Ethan Hamilton; sister, Cheryl Faires and her husband, Karl; nephew and niece; Darren Faires and his wife, Whitney, Deidre Beach and her husband, Scott; and great-nephews and nieces Dylan Faires, Dalton Faires, Drew Faires, and Karlee Beach; and many long-time friends.

Rhonda attended Southeast High School (Class of 1968).  She was a Radiologic Technologist and mammographer receiving her ARRT Certificate from Baptist Hospital and graduating first in her class in 1971.  She worked many places throughout her career but finished out at Norman Hospital doing mammograms and helping women navigate their diagnoses.

Rhonda loved attending all of her grandkid's events.  She enjoyed traveling to Texarkana, Tx to visit her grandkids as they were growing up and in recent years she was a fan of cheering on her grandsons and nephews as they played football for Mount St. Mary High School.  She loved her dogs, Max and Lucy, leopard print, and anything blinged out. She was a fan of OU football and tried to watch all the games. Rhonda was a member of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) at First Baptist Church of Moore.

Rhonda always looked forward to the family Thanksgiving, Easter trips, and family cruises. Many great memories were made on these trips.  Rhonda would dress up in her cowboy boots and head up to the VFW for weekend dancing.  She enjoyed playing cards with her new friends that she made at Grace Point 55+ community and visiting with her friend and next-door neighbor Virginia.  We have so much gratitude to her friend Sheryl Luney for helping with her caregiving in her final days.
