<p>Dorothy Ann Lucy (Coleman) Stewart of 93 West Hampshire Street, Piedmont, West Virginia born on September 10, 1939 went to be with our Lord on September 11, 2021.</p> <p>Lovingly known to her family and friends as Dausey, Honey, Dos Ann, Luce, and Presley, Dorothy has been described as a bright light that never fades. With her beautiful spirit and servant&rsquo;s heart, she spent her life selflessly and graciously caring for others. She was always there to encourage, support and provide unconditional love to each of her family members.&nbsp; There is nothing she would not and had not joyfully sacrificed for her family. As humble as she was, Honey was blessed with so many precious gifts. She sang worship songs like an angel, baked like a world-class chef (her rolls, cookies, cakes and fried chicken are made with love and known and requested across the country), and shined and shared the light of the Lord everywhere she went just by being herself As a devoted Christian, she saw God in everything and believed that &quot;All things work together for good to those that love God, to them that are called according to his purpose&quot;. (Romans 8:28 KJV).&nbsp; Dorothy is a true treasure of the Coleman family and will be deeply missed until we embrace her again in heaven.</p> <p>Dorothy was an exceptional employee of the Westvaco Club from 1965 where she worked tirelessly for 40 years, beginning as a housekeeper and ascending in her career to become the first and only African American General Manager.</p> <p>Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents James R. Coleman Sr. and Dorothy V. (Price) Coleman, her elder brother James R. Coleman Jr., her niece Danielle J. Dorsey, her grandson Brandon L. Coleman and her great nephew Joshua A. Ross.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>A beloved matriarch of the Coleman, Price and Stewart families, Dorothy is survived by her husband of 46 years Ernest H. Stewart, daughter Anita R. (Coleman) Hines and five children: daughter, Shannon (Coleman) Bell, husband Mike, great granddaughter Brielle, daughter Chasity (Hines) Richardson, husband Justin and great grandchildren Braydin and Bryson,&nbsp;daughter Lindsey Hines, son Langston Hines and son Seth Coleman. Dorothy&rsquo;s son Timothy P. Stewart and three children: son Damian Stewart, son Cameron Stewart and daughter Mariah Stewart. Dorothy&rsquo;s daughter Joi L. (Stewart) Watts husband Martin and their six children: son Jadon Hoover, daughter Mikayla Watts, daughter Myleigh Anderson, daughter Kayla Watts and her daughter Eliyah Jade, son Kaden Watts, daughter Khloe Watts and her great granddog Graham Watts; daughter, Denise Stewart and family; son, Gregory Stewart and family; son, Rodney Menefee and family; and daughter Rhonda Menefee and family.</p> <p>Dorothy is also survived by four siblings, Aileen L. (Coleman) Evans, sister, and husband Richard Evans; Patricia J. (Coleman) Britton, sister; Kay E. Kady (Coleman), sister, and husband William A. Kady; Roberta L. Coleman, sister; Paul A. Coleman, brother, and wife Patti S. Coleman; sister in love Brenda J.&nbsp; Coleman; special uncle, Harry A. Coleman; goddaughter Sonia B. Hill, and numerous adoring nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.</p> <p>The family would like to express our sincere gratitude for the prayers and many acts of kindness shown toward us during this difficult time.</p> <p>Family and friends will be received at the Trinity United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 18th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.&nbsp; A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 pm.&nbsp;</p> <p>Interment will be at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.&nbsp;</p> <p>Dorothy&rsquo;s family kindly requests that everyone in attendance wear masks and social distance while in church and at the cemetery.&nbsp;</p>

Dorothy Ann Lucy (Coleman) Stewart of 93 West Hampshire Street, Piedmont, West Virginia born on September 10, 1939 went to be with our Lord on September 11, 2021.

Lovingly known to her family and friends as Dausey, Honey, Dos Ann, Luce, and Presley, Dorothy has been described as a bright light that never fades.
