Tammy Marie Postell Welch, 51, of Calhoun died Sunday, September 12, 2021 at AdventHealth Gordon from complications of COVID-19.

Tammy was born in Dalton, Georgia on December 16, 1969, the daughter of Willis and Marie Smith Postell. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Postell; grandparents, Bud Smith, Ruth Brown, Fred Postell, and Janie Postell and prior to ill health, was employed by Georgia Tufters Inc.

Survivors include her daughter, Carrie Mercedes Welch; son, Stetson Wayne Welch; brother, Jeffery Postell and his wife Pamela’ grandchildren, Brantley Welch, Montana Welch, Angel Welch; parents, Willis and Marie Smith Postell; nieces, Amber Postell and Rose Locklear; nephew, Josh Thacker; mother-in-law, Sandra Welch along with cousins and other relatives.

Funeral services for Tammy Marie Welch will be conducted Thursday, September 16th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Postell officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday between the hours of 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
