Graveside Service for Mrs. Nicole Williams Gill, 55 of Decatur, Alabama will be 11:00 am Friday, September 17, 2021 at Calvary Memorial Gardens with Dr. Chinetha Baker officiating. Public viewing will be Thursday from 2:00 pm till 6:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Nicole Williams Gill was born on August 25, 1966, to the parents of Albert Williams and Doris Crawford in Queens, NY. She departed this life on September 11, 2021 at Decatur General Hospital after going through a lengthy health battle. Nikki was a fighter, throughout her entire life she held an unwavering faith in God which she shared with those who surrounded her. She had a golden heart that would always help and mentor the youth. This was evident through her volunteering at her children’s schools and at her church, Christ Temple Holiness Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. Affectionately known as “Mama Gill” she always had a shoulder to lean on, a listening ear, and an angelic smile ready to share even as her health began to decline. She remained a positive light and beacon of hope to everyone around her.

In Nikki’s late teens, she and her daughter Ericka left New York and moved to Selma, Alabama in 1985 where she met and was joined in holy matrimony to Corbyn O. Gill. To that union, three children were born. Nicole was a dedicated and loving mother. Corbyn and Nicole moved to Decatur, Alabama and joined Christ Temple Holiness Church. Nicole was also a dedicated employee of Decatur General Hospital for 14 years as a Technician.

Nicole was preceded in death by her: parents, husband, Corbyn Gill, daughter, Ericka Mungen, mother, Doris Crawford, father, Albert Williams, and brother, Terry Crawford.

She is survived by: daughter, Whitney (Elvis) Tambi of Hawaii, sons Corbyn and Jonathan Gill of Decatur, Alabama, granddaughters, Madyson and Marleigh Gill also of Decatur, Alabama. Her siblings, Kelli Williams (David) Enman, Jerome (Sandy) Williams, Venay (Randolph) Modley, Damon Williams, her in-laws Sheila (Joseph) Smith, William “Bill” Gill, Felicia Gill, Markinza Gill, and a host of relatives and friends.

August 25, 1966 - September 11, 202108/25/196609/11/2021
