<p>Mrs. Wilma Guy, 86, of Helena, AL passed away on September 10, 2021. Wilma was of the Baptist faith. She worked for Golden Flake for several years, and later she was owner and teacher of her ceramic shop. She also drove a Jefferson County school bus. Wilma was Fred&rsquo;s truck driving partner for Southwest Freight for many years. She loved to cook for her family and was a loving wife, devoted mother, and proud mamaw.</p> <p>She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Guy; daughter, Becky Guy; parents, Alfred and Retha Shirley; and several siblings.</p> <p>She is survived by her sons, Terry (Rhonda) Guy and Sammy Guy; daughters, Annette (Pete) Henson and Alesia (Ron) McKenzie; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ray (Betty) Shirley; sisters, Judy Luster, Myra Cobb, Ruth (Herman) Dodson, and Joyce McDaniel; brother-in-law, Lonnie Ray; and sisters-in-law, Virginia White and Lenda White (Kenneth).</p> <p>A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL. The funeral service will begin at 11:00am in the chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer&#39;s Association.
