Mr. James Luther Steadman, 89, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021. James wa born in Decatur, GA to the late Willie Steadman and Gladys Worthy Steadman. In earlier years James made his home in Decatur but most recently lived in Commerce, GA. He was a retired automotive mechanic and a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. James left a mark on all those who came in contact with him and will forever be missed. He and his wife had no children but are loved as their own by niece Sherry Ann Morgan and Leroy Morgan of Carnesville, GA and nephew Ricky Hicks and Debbie Hicks of Danielsville, GA. He leaves behind to cherish his memory several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Joann Allen Steadman. Graveside services will be at Bethel Community Cemetery, 1147 Panola Rd., Stone Mountain, GA. Time and date to be announced.
