Pelzer - Steven Jon “Steve” Fassett, Sr., 67, husband of Melia June Greene Fassett, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021. Born in Cabot, VT, he was a son of the late Hayden Keith and Eleanor Friot Fassett. He was owner/operator of a trucking service and repair company. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Steven Fassett, Jr. (Deena) of Honea Path, Stephanie Fassett of Belton, Nicholas Fassett (Jessica) of Honea Path, and Tyler Fassett (Tasha) of West Pelzer; stepson, Wyman Allen of Pickens; sisters, Patricia Chowning of Belton, Carol Perry (Oliver) of New Mexico, and Joann Kirwan of Belton; brother, Frank Fassett of Gilbert, twenty-five grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and special friend, Mary Ashley of the home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Gray Mortuary Chapel. Due to Covid-19, it is suggested that masks be worn and social distancing observed. Gray Mortuary, Pelzer
