Joseph Paul Dean, 69, of Gladewater, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021. He was born September 13, 1951 in Springfield, Missouri to the late Joseph Bryan Dean and Caroline Mae McConnell. Paul worked for several years in Construction and later in life as a bus driver for the Gladewater ISD. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the local C.M.A. (Christian Motorcycle Association) and was a member of Joy Baptist church. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed his time with family and friends. He is survived by his son, Justin Phillip Dean and wife, Catherine Nichole Michels of McKinney; fiancée, Becky Bishop; brothers, James David Dean; grandchildren, Jayce Patrick Dean and Marley Nichole Dean; nieces, Rebecca Johnson and Chelsea Pate; and nephew, Cameron Gann. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, John Bryan Dean; and sister, Mable Anna Durbin. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 13, 2021 in the Chapel of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. The family will receive friends just prior to the service Monday, starting at 12:00 noon. The family ask in response to the COVID pandemic, for the public to practice social distancing and please wear a mask during the services.
