Anastasia was blessed with the strength from her Greek Village mountain roots and that was admired by those who knew her well. She was a very loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend. She was born in Agios Petros, Greece, June 17, 1944. She came to the United States with her husband, Michael, in 1971 where they settled in Elmwood Park, IL to begin a new life with their children, Mary, Effie and Perry.

Anastasia loved her family with unlimited capacity.  She loved to garden, travel, had a passion for viewing homes and properities as a hobby, and would love to go on roadtrip adventures.  She always put her family first and was always available to provide them a listening and supportive ear, followed by smiles, hugs and kisses. She was resilient beyond measure and taught her family members to never give up.   She was a hero to her children and grandchildren and many family that recognized her as the Matriarch.  Her legacy will live on through those who loved her.

Thank you to the Kouretsos family for the tremendous love & support you’ve provided our family through the years & through this process.
