Wappingers Falls, NY- Julia A. Carr (Judy) age 72, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2021. Julia was born on April 3, 1949 in Yonkers, NY. She was the daughter of Frank and Evelyn (Maberly) Imbrogno. On November 9, 1969, she married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Gerald W. Carr at St. Matthews Church in Hasting-on-Hudson, NY. Gerald currently resides in Wappingers Falls, NY. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Jeffrey and Jason Carr, Jeffrey's fiancé Christina Magnotta, her brothers Joseph and Anthony Imbrogno, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Julia is predeceased by her twin sister, Evelyn Sapienza, and brother Frank Imbrogno. After 20 years, Julia retired from her career at IBM. Additionally, she was a proud 23 year breast cancer survivor. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Julia’s name to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
