Albert G. Chasteen

<p>Albert G. Chasteen, 69, of La Salle, passed away unexpectedly September 9, 2021 at St. Margaret&rsquo;s Health in Peru.</p> <p>Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family with arrangements.</p> <p>Albert was born in Peru on May 23, 1952 to Emal W. and Hazel E. (Long) Chasteen. He married Eugenia Simmons on July 24, 1999.</p> <p>Albert loved being with his family and at family functions. He enjoyed tinkering outside and helping anyone who needed it.</p> <p>Albert is survived by his wife Eugenia of La Salle; children Anna Weber of Princeton, Vicky (Jon Henn) Faull of DePue, Niki Chasteen of Ohio, Kristopher Chasteen of La Salle, Richard Bumgarner of Mendota, and Peter Bumgarner of Mendota; four brothers Tom, Dale (Debbie Jo), Billy, and Danny Chasteen; five sisters Sue, Janette, and Betty Chasteen, Pam Travis, and Connie Steinhauer; and five grandchildren Terry Ferran, Truran Faull, Joshua Thompson, Jessie and Riley Nelson.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents.</p>
