Annie R. “Cookie - Nay” McKnight New Orleans, Louisiana Obituary

Annie R. “Cookie - Nay” McKnight

Annie R. McKnight “Cookie/Nay,” age 59, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Annie is someone you could best describe as the ultimate people person. She was a cherished employee of The Carnival Club and The Court of Two Sisters. With a passion for working in the service industry as a bartender, it’s safe to say that she never met a stranger. She was sure to leave a lasting impression on anyone she crossed paths with. Her memory will forever live on through all of those that loved her, but most of all through her daughter and grandchildren who she admired the most.  She is preceded in death by her father, Mason McKnight, and her beloved sister, Eunice McKnight “Tootie.” She leaves to cherish her precious memories her daughter, Kira McKnight; mother, Lozetta McKnight; grandchildren, Kileceya McKnight “Pebbles,” and Damarko Frey “DD”; siblings, Antonio McKnight “Twine,” Samantha McKnight “Sam,” Leola Hunter, Nakeisha Hunter “Keisha,” Mason Hunter Jr., and Ranada Hunter; devoted cousin, Rosemary Lucas; companion, Lecial Carroll and a host of loved relatives and friends.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service on Monday, September 13, 2021, 1:00PM at Professional Funeral Services, Inc., 1449 N. Claiborne Ave., NOLA.  Visitation 12:00PM until service.  Interment Private.
