Dolores G. Gervase, age 91, a resident of Brookdale of Lisle, IL, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2021 at Edward Hospital. She was born in Berwyn, IL on February 3, 1930. Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Peter Gervase in 2006. She is survived by her loving children, Michael (Nancy) Gervase, Toni (the late Terry) Conwell and Bruce (Judy) Gervase; her cherished grandchildren, David (Kristen) Gervase, Matthew (Margo) Gervase, Elizabeth Gervase, Stephanie (Rick) Hicks, Andrew Conwell, Katherine (Paco) Orozco, Kendall (Don) Carino and Chelsea (Phil) Johnson and her great-grandchildren, Jack, Catelyn, Samantha and Dylan Gervase, Jacob and Ryan Gervase, Brady and Austin Hicks, Ryder and Mason Carino; as well as her dear sister, Donna (the late Richard) Tuttle and brother, Jack (the late Brenda) Strutzenberg. Dolores graduated from Lyons Township High School in 1948. Soon after graduating she married Peter. Their marriage lasted 56 years until Peter’s death in 2006. Dolores worked for many years at Midwest Operating Engineers Local 150 in Countryside, Il as a receptionist. After her retirement, she and her husband moved to Fort Myers, Florida where they enjoyed social activities and playing golf. In 2010 Dolores moved back to Illinois and lived at Brookdale Senior Living in Lisle where she made many, many good friends. She enjoyed decorating her apartment and her walker on every holiday throughout the year. But Dolores especially enjoyed spending time with her family including her eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to the life of Dolores Gervase, memorial donations may be directed to the American Heart Association. A memorial visitation will be Monday, September 20, 9:30 until 10:30 AM at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 815 S. Washington St., Naperville. A memorial service will follow at 10:30 AM. A private family interment will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, IL. Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services was entrusted with arrangements.
