<p>Darrold Hanna, 83, passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2021. He was born on March 18, 1938 in Ontario, Oregon to Milburn and Hellen (Hunter) Hanna. Darrold graduated from Roseburg High School in 1956 and earned his Master&rsquo;s Degree at Oregon State University. Darrold married Sandra Walley on June 10, 1957 and together they had 8 biological children and 17 adopted children. Darrold married his wife Frankie on July 18, 1986 and she brought 3 more children into Darrold&rsquo;s life.</p> <p>Darrold loved to travel and was a member of the National Guard. He taught Industrial Arts in Hoopa, California and at Springfield High School in Oregon, where he was active in leadership roles with the local, state and national teacher&rsquo;s union. He loved the Boy Scouts and spent many summers backpacking The Pacific Crest Trail with both scouts and family. He loved woodworking, gardening, and scuba diving. Darrold was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed serving in every capacity. He was always the first to volunteer for any project.</p> <p>Darrold is survived by his wife Frankie, sister Sheila Hanna, and more than 20 children, 62 grandchildren and a plethora of great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra, four sons, and his parents Milburn and Hellen.</p> <p>Funeral arrangements by Bateman Funeral Home, September 18, 2021, 1:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Newport Oregon.</p>
