Brenda Massarella, 78, of Norfolk VA born as, George Massarella died in home the morning of September 2nd, 2021. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday the 15th of September 2021 at Albert G Horton Jr Cemetery, Located at 5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434 at 2:00pm est. Massarella was born on December 16, 1942, in Manhattan NY, son of the late George and Iren Massarella. Massarella retired from the United States Navy in 1990 after 20 years of service. Before serving in the Navy, Massarella proudly served in the United States Army as an Infantry Soldier in the Vietnam War. Honorably discharged Massarella went on to protect and serve in the Norfolk City Sheriffs Department. Massarella is survived by 4 sons Jessie Massarella of Salt Lake City, Christopher Massarella and wife Sherrie of Dinwiddie VA, Michael Massarella of Middletown and Nicholas Massarella of Salt Lake City; Stepchildren Peggy Schupska, Bonnie Knowlton and Louis Barchanowicz. Massarella is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Massarella was predeceased by parents, George and Iren Massarella, his wife Mary Massarella; son George Massarella; daughters Kimberly Massarella and Mary Massarella.
