Brenda Iola Smith Whiddon

Beloved Sister and Friend Brenda Smith Whiddon, 74, of Waynesville passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at her residence. A native of Haywood County, Brenda was the daughter of the late Monroe and Inez Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norm Whiddon; and sisters, Joy Crawford and Judy Barnette. Brenda lived her life between Haywood County and Lakeland Florida. She loved crafting, dolls, and dogs. She was the Jewelry Lady for years and worked at Wise Jewelry and Shelley’s Jewelry in Waynesville and Gordon’s Jewelers in Lakeland Florida. In recent years, Brenda owned and operated a Puppy Boutique in Florida. She was a beloved lady and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Left to cherish Brenda’s memory are her brothers, Jimmy (Susan) Smith and Ronnie Smith; nieces, Cindy and DeeDee; nephew, Darrell; former husband and dear friend, Bill Mehaffey; her beloved yorkie, Lilly; along with numerous friends that loved her dearly.
