Craig Allen Austin

Craig Austin, 42 of Orange Park, Florida, “BeetleBomb”, passed away peacefully at his home on September 6th, with his Fiancé, Mother, Father and his niece by his side. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 16th, 11:00 am at Jacksonville Memory Gardens with Pastor Wendall Shaw. Burial will be at a later date in Grinnell, Iowa on the family plot. The son of Kenneth and Pamela Audas-Paul Austin, he was born on October 18th, 1978 at Portsmouth, Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia. He attended Kindergarten in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The family transferred with the Navy to Brunswick, Maine where he attended Topsham Elementary, 1st through 5th grade. The last military transfer placed him in Orange Park, Florida where he graduated from Orange Park High School in 1997. After high school, Craig attended Installer Institute in Daytona Beach, Fl, and worked in the audio installation field for a couple of years. He then went to work at Bank of America for 12 years as the Senior Customer Service Representative-Sales Fulfillment. He then returned to school at Everest College for HVAC and worked in this field around 2 years before a work related accident caused him not to be able to continue. His last position was with Mckesson in Jacksonville, Florida that he enjoyed thoroughly. Craig is survived by his fiancé, Melissa Lee of Middleburg, Florida, his parents Kenny and Pam Austin of Orange Park, Florida, his brother Steve (Heather) Austin of Middleburg, Florida, Lindsay (Stephan) Howington of Jacksonville, Florida, Leah Wolfersberger, of Middleburg, Florida, Lauren Wolfersberger, of Middleburg, Florida, they were daughters to him in his eyes, Kaitlyn (Edgar)Lee of Orange Park, Florida, Nathan Austin, USMC, San Diego, CA, Nephew, Christiana (Taylor) Jones of Fayetteville, NC, (Army) niece, Areiana Austin of Orange Park, Florida, Niece, Summer Austin, Orange Park, Florida, Niece, and his two Great Grand Nephew and Niece, Dion Carter Lee, of Orange Park, Florida, Charlotte Mae Jones of Fayetteville, NC. And his furbabies he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents originally from Iowa and California.
