Patricia A. Cella

Patricia A. (Russo) Cella, 78, of Loganton, passed away September 9, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. <br>Born in Lock Haven on December 26, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Anna (Diem) Russo. She graduated from the former Immaculate Conception High School, class of 1960. <br>In 1969, she married Gary M. Cella in St. Agnes Catholic Church. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, attending St. Agnes Catholic Church. For more than 20 years, she served as a teacher, lector, and Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the Altar-Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters. <br>In her early years, Pat was employed by Lock Haven Airmotive, where she earned her private pilot's license and flew Piper planes. After raising her two daughters, she was employed by Keystone Central School District at the former Sugar Valley Elementary and High School. She joined Susque View Home in 1990 as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, before she became Director of Religious Education for both St. Agnes and Immaculate Conception Parishes, later Holy Spirit Parish, until her retirement in 2012. <br>Pat was a life member of Girls Scouts of the USA. She served as Clinton County Volunteer Director and troop leader in the Loganton area for over 15 years. She served two terms on the Board of Directors for the former Hemlock Girl Scout Council and was recognized with numerous awards. She was also a two-time Gold Award Mother.<br>She was also a member of the Sons and Daughters of Italy, Alpine Star Lodge #1827 and the Sugar Valley Historical Society.<br>Pat's greatest joys were spending time with her family, tending to her flowers, enjoying the wildlife, and traveling.<br>She is survived by her husband, Gary Cella of Loganton; daughters Jennifer (Robert) Johns of Virginia Beach, VA and Traci (Timothy) Wilson of West Des Moines, IA; grandchildren Amanda Brown, Sydnee Womack, Marcus Johns, Kara Borrman, and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by one sister, Mary Jo (Bruce) Mathie of Montoursville, one niece Beth (Ben) Hellar of State College, brother-in-law, Craig (Charlene) Cella, two nephews, Matt (Tammy) Cella, and Mark (Alethea) Cella, all of Loganton, as well as other extended family.<br>In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Mary (Mapstone) Diem and Joseph and Nancy (Vuocolo) Russo.<br>A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11 A.M. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven, PA 17745 with Rev. Father Jozef Kovacik officiating. <br>Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family, with interment at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Lock Haven. <br>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Sinsinawa Dominican Sister Retirement Fund or Sugar Valley Historical Society.<br>Arrangements are under the direction of the Donald G.
