Christopher Steven Sheffield

Christopher Steven Sheffield, 48, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on September 1, 2021, at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born in Marianna, Florida to his parents, Don Sheffield and Laura Pullen. Chris was raised in Sneads, Florida attending K-12 as a Pirate. At the Sneads High School graduation in 1992, he sang “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” by Boyz II Men. After graduation, he joined the Army, and soon after was proudly fighting for his country in Haiti. After 4 years of service, he spent several years traveling, working in Fiber Optics, later settling in Pensacola working for GE. Some of Chris’s hobbies included anything pertaining to Harley Davidsons, weightlifting, camping, spending time with his loved ones, and always enjoying a fine cigar. Chris is preceded in death by his biological father, Greg Cook; brother, Edwin Sheffield; paternal grandparents, Joe and Deanie Sheffield; maternal grandparents, Richard and Blanch Pullen. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Jennifer Willis; children, Gunner Sheffield and Isabel Willis; mother, Laura (Kurt) Croll; father, Don (Patty) Sheffield; Mother-In-Law, Kathy Elowsky; siblings, Julie (Allen) Schaffer, LaDon (Heather) Sheffield, Kin (Chastity) Sheffield, Tiffany (Joe) Braun, Amber (Jonathon) Cotton, and Kodie Croll; nieces and nephews, Taylor, Tyler, Kadin, Kaylee, Jamison, Joseph, Zander, Pierson, Madison, Brianna, Kameron, Gabe, Hunter, and McKenzie; special extended family, Timmy, Michelle, Ellie and Hunter Ogle; Tina, Dave, Elliott and Maliyah Caloca; Scott Willis; Ryan Willis; Shannon, Rick, Nathan, and Thomas; and a dear friend known as his “Adopted Grandpa”, James Mock. A Funeral Service for Chris will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Pensacola, 60 Industrial Blvd, with Rev Bob Govoni officiating. The visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m., with Military Honors. Chris will be laid to rest upon cremation at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL and this date will be later announced. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the love, support, calls, texts, visits, food delivered, and all condolences sent.
