<p>Gertrude Myrle Zueck, 89, of Indian River, Michigan, passed away on August 28, 2021, at her daughter&rsquo;s home, surrounded by family and friends. She was born to parents August and Helen Haase, on March 23,1932 in Flint, Michigan. She was raised in Flushing, Michigan with her younger siblings, Reva and August (Sonny).</p> <p>Gertrude married Richard Flowers and raised 3 children, James, Brenda and Debra. She later married James Byard and raised 3 more children, Lawrence, Christine and Cheryl. Her last marriage was to Albert Zueck.</p> <p>Gertrude lived in Fenton, Michigan for many years. She enjoyed sewing decorative pillows. She gave them to her family and sold them at craft fairs. Her favorite activity was working on puzzles. She was still doing puzzles at age 89!</p> <p>Gertrude (Trudy) worked many years in various retail positions in Holly MI. She enjoyed assisting customers at The Helen Shoppe and Dick&rsquo;s Rexall Drug. She was the manager at the Jumpin Jeans store. She retired from JC Penney, Flint, MI in the early 90&rsquo;s.</p> <p>Gertude is survived by her sister Reva, her children, James Flowers (Dawn), Brenda Flowers, Debra Flowers, Lawrence Byard and Cheryl Glidden (Steve). She is survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandsons!</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Helen Haase, her husbands, Richard Flowers, James Byard and Albert Zueck, her brother, August (Sonny) Haase and her daughter Christine Morea.</p> <p>There will be a memorial in remembrance of Gertrude at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, MI. It will be held on Saturday, September 25. We will greet family and friends from 12pm to 2pm. The memorial service will begin at 2pm. All are invited to join the family for a meal following the service. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.</p>
