Dr. Linda June Morton, Ph.D.
<p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;">Dr Linda June Morton, Ph.D., age 78, passed away at her home in Nashville on August 31, 2021. Preceded in death by her parents, W. Taylor Morton and Ruby Page Morton. Survived by numerous cousins and friends.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;">June was a graduate of West End High in Nashville, Class of 1962. and received her Ph.D. from George Peabody College. June taught in the Metro Nashville school system for 36 years, most recently serving as Principal at McGavock Comprehensive High School before her retirement in 2000.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;">June was an accomplished pianist and loved traveling. She will forever be a fan of the Vanderbilt Commodores.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;">A Memorial Life Celebration will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at West Nashville Church, 6849 Old Charlotte Pike, Nashville. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at West Nashville Church.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;">In lieu of flowers, please make contribution to West Nashville Church.</span></p>January 21, 1943 - August 31, 202101/21/194308/31/2021
