Lacey Nicole McMullen
Lacey Nicole (McDill) McMullen, 39, of Gardner, KS, passed away on September 7, 2021, at Olathe Medical Center. Lacey was born June 22, 1982, in Olathe, KS to Jan and Robert McDill. She grew up in Paola, KS, and graduated from Osawatomie (KS) High School in 2000. She graduated from Emporia State University in 2003 with a business degree. Lacey worked for many years at Stouse LLC in New Century, KS. Lacey married Joey McMullen on May 17, 2008. Lacey filled her days with her animals, helping others, baking desserts, spending time with family, and shopping for new purses with her mom. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, hosting sleepovers and making cool gifts for them. In 2019, daughter Preslee was born, and Lacey found her calling in life to be a mother. Lacey was preceded in death by her grandparents. Lacey is survived by her husband Joey and their daughter Preslee; her parents Jan and Robert McDill of Paola, KS; her brother Shane McDill (Stacy) of Spring Hill, KS; her brother-in-law’s Jerry McMullen (Lisa) and Jim McMullen (Jennifer), all of Olathe, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews throughout Kansas. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 5:30 PM at New Life Community Church, 17935 S Moonlight Rd, Gardner, KS. In lieu of flowers, donations to Preslee’s college fund are appreciated.
