Cheryl Ann Smart, 65, of Levelland, recently retired as Hockley County Elections Administrator, suddenly passed away from this life on September 8, 2021 in Levelland TX. 

Visitation will be Sunday, September 12, 2021, from  2:00 to 4:00 pm at Krestridge Funeral Home.  A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 13, 2021, at the First Christian Church in Levelland with Jesse Hodge officiating.  Interment will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery.

Cheryl was born on July 31, 1956 in Levelland, Texas to Bennie Gene Frey and  Juanell Frey. After graduating from high school, she attended nursing school at South Plains College where she received her LVN and was a part of the medical field for 28 years. She married Billy Smart on April 26, 1996, and were married for 25 years.

Cheryl was a lifelong member of First Christian Church and was in the music worship ministry for many years. She enjoyed traveling, singing and playing bluegrass and gospel music throughout West Texas. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She also enjoyed making crafts for friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bennie Gene Frey; and grandparents, LG and Zelma Fred and Edgar & Bernice Frey. (Grandparents).

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband, Billy Smart of Levelland; her mom Juanell Morris of Levelland; daughters, Michelle Quilantan and Tammy Doshier of Levelland; son Rick (Brandi) Doshier of Levelland; sister Carolyn Nance of Levelland; grandchildren, Michael (Destini) Quilantan, Andrew Quilantan, Kiara Doshier, Keyleigh Barron, Gavin Doshier, Ashleigh Barron, Preston Doshier; and great grandchildren: Xander, Xaden, Xaxton, Zaileigh.
