James Alan Koerber, age 52, of Lansing died suddenly on September 7, 2021 at Sparrow Hospital. James (Jim) was born June 11, 1969 in Falls Church, Virginia to James and Linda. Jim enjoyed gaming and spending time with his friends. Jim was an avid student, earning bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Psychology from Michigan State University. He also loved literature, co-writing and co-publishing with his wife, Tara. Jim became a bridge life master, club director and enjoyed traveling to tournaments. Jim was diagnosed with a serious heart condition 15 years ago, and we are sad to say the illness finally overtook him. Jim is survived by his wife Tara, step-children Mark, Blake and Caroline, parents: James (Sarah) Koerber, Linda (Donald) Schenk, sisters: Kim (Steve) Martin, Jeannie Koerber, Mike (Sherrie) Schenk, Julia (Adrian) Balderas, Cassandra Koerber, Jana Koerber, Cathryn Koerber. Cremation has taken place and arrangements for a memorial service are pending at this time. Memorial contributions in memory of Jim may be made to the charity of your choice.
