Obituary

Eddie Allen Pulak, miner, mechanic, hunter, fisher, artist, gardener, solver of world issues fuelled by coffee and dry roasted peanuts, passed away on Monday, September 6th, 2021.

Still living to celebrate his life and mourn his passing, he leaves four children, Darren (Janice), Mike (Jenniffer), Tyler (Christina), and Jennifer and 8 grandchildren. He was also survived by siblings Dennis (Sandra), Sandra, Brenda, Karen, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by parents Nellie (Chodak) and Paul Pulak.

Over the last 20 years he shared his love of gardening and good food with best friend Phyllis Mitchell.

Born in Flin Flon on November 11, 1950, his family moved to Thompson Manitoba in 1958 where he was raised, attended school, and worked as an underground miner at INCO (Vale) till retirement in 2006. He loved time at the lake, fishing or hunting with long-time friend Hans Noort. His favourite holidays were Christmas and Halloween when he would go over the top decorating and judge each year to the next by how many kids came to visit. He collected all things moose-related. He was a gifted wood worker and his kids are probably still ‘negotiating’ over who gets the craved pickerel that watched over his dining room.

Per his wishes he has been cremated and his ashes will be laid to rest by the family on a future date.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Ducks Unlimited Canada.
