Donald Ray Hatten

Donald R. Hatten, age 60, of Orrville, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021, at Aultman Orrville Hospital, following a brief period of declining health. Don was born on July 24, 1961, in Wadsworth, Ohio, to the late Vernon and Carolyn (Pickens) Hatten and graduated from Orrville High School and Wayne County Schools Career Center in 1981. He married Beverly Hostetler on July 4, 1981, in Orrville. He worked as a truck driver for Smith Dairy for 25 years and most recently for R & L Transport. Don's favorite activity was going with Uncle Terry and Aunt Barb to the farm in West Virginia to go 4-wheeling. Family was very important to Don and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Beverly Hatten; three daughters, Jessica (Jason) Little of Orrville, Jennifer (Josh) Warner of Canal Fulton, and JoAnna Hatten of Orrville; five grandchildren, Madison and Quinten Little, Amber and Jacob Warner, and Dillon Copley; two sisters, Janet Hatten, and Gloria (John Smith) Hatten both of Myrtle Beach, SC; and brother, David Hatten of Wooster. He was preceded in death by father, Vernon Ray Hatten; and his mother, Carolyn Richmond. Friends may call on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Grace Church in Wooster, 4599 Burbank Rd, Wooster, from 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, at the church. Memorials may be made to Lifebanc 4775 Richmond Road, Cleveland 44128 lifebanc.org, or a charity of the donor's choice.
