John J.W. Wilkerson, 83, of Vidor, died Wednesday, September 8th, 2021 at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Vidor and longtime member of the Vidor Church of Christ. He loved doing cookouts at the church camp retreats and spending time with his family. J.W. served as an elder in his church for 30 years and was always very active in his church. Visitation for J.W. will be Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. His funeral service will be Monday, September 13th, 2021 at 10:00 AM. John is survived by his wife of 62 years Rachel Wilkerson of Vidor, TX, his son Greg Wilkerson and wife Melanie of Vidor, TX, his daughter Gina Wilkerson of Vidor, TX, his brothers Harvey Lee Wilkerson of Vidor, TX, Mike WIlkerson of Vidor, TX, and his grand daughter Lauren Wilkerson of Vidor, TX.
