Ms. Helen Marie Green was born to Ms. Margaret E. Brown and the late Mr. Sydney Brown Sr. on February 25, 1955, in Savannah, GA. She attended public school in Chatham County. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Herman Lee Green Sr. She was a member of Pentecost Baptist Church.

Helen was well-known and loved by many. She was a loving mother and caretaker who would feed or clothe anyone. She loved to dance, write and solve crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed being around family, listening to music and shopping. She had a very unique style and was THE BOSS DIVA as we would so often laugh about.

On Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at her home, she entered eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lee Green Sr.; son, Herman Lee Green Jr. and father, Sydney Brown Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her four children, Latrelle Austin, DeTricka Brown, Dorothy Green and Freeman Green Sr. of Savannah, GA; six grandchildren number Shaneece Parker, Rahsaan Morgan, Danajsha Brown, Freeman Green Jr., Lamar Green, Nayqwan Austin; five great-grandchildren Raelynn Brown, JaMeer Cockfield, Christopher Smith, Rahsaan Morgan III and Rahsaad Morgan; a loving mother, Ms. Margaret E. Brown; six brothers Sydney Brown Jr., Sherman Brown, Jeremiah Brown (Annette), Nathaniel Brown, Stephen Brown (Betty) and Ernest Brown (Berthenia), three sisters Margaret Holmes, Diane Douse (Bernard) and Beverly Small (William), and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in the chapel of Campbell & Sons Funeral Home, 124 West Park Ave., Savannah, GA. 31401. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Woodville Cemetery, 125 Spring Street, Savannah, GA. 31408.
