Gene Allen Graves September 21, 1991 ~ September 6, 2021 Gene Allen Graves, 29, of Gas City, passed away at 2:57 pm on Monday, September 6, 2021, in his home. He was born in Marion on September 21, 1991. Gene graduated from Mississinewa High School in 2011 and worked at Pizza Hut in Gas City. Gene enjoyed listening to all kinds of music. He liked watching movies and studying history. Gene was an avid basketball and football fan with his favorite teams being the Lakers and Colts. More than anything, Gene loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a caring, loving and passionate man who always wanted to protect those closest to his heart. Survivors include his mother, Esmeralda Hall of Gas City; father, Rusty Graves of Marion; step-father, Brock Hall of Gas City; great-grandmother, Elena Rangel; grandfather, Darrell Small; sisters, Brittani Proctor of Gas City and Elizabeth Hall of Gas City; girlfriend, Tiffany Craven and her children, Rosaleigh Burkhart and Elihu Burkhart; nieces, Makynna, Mayleigh and Ellie; plus several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Gene was preceded in death by grandmothers, Susanna Small and Cathy Graves and his grandfather, David Allen Graves, Sr. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, September 13, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, IN. Immediately following the time of visitation, a Funeral Service to celebrate Gene's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery in Marion. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
