Richard Stephens Murray

Mr. Richard Stephen Murray, age 71, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in Alexandria at Rapides Regional Medical Center. The family will have a memorial service at a later date. Mr. Murray was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was always positive, never speaking ill of anyone, and was willing to talk to anyone that would listen. Mr. Murray was honest, loyal, and loving. Outside of spending time with family his favorite pastime was fishing. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Murray and Estelle Cyrus Murray; and sister, Janet Boyles. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 45 years, Brenda Cole Murray; son, Stephen Murray (Denise); daughters, Shonna Murray, Brandi Murray, and Tammy Murray; sisters, Rachelle Harris and Cindy Murray; grandchildren, Catlin Murray, Alexis Hines, Jordan Murray, Colby Arnold (Chelsea), Chloe Dauzat, Daylane Dauzat (Cloey), Noah Courville, and Jase Freeman; great grandchildren, Ele-Onna and Owen; and a host of extended family and friends.
