<p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Susan F. Truitt, age 82, of Middletown, DE, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and daughters on Friday, September 3, 2021.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>She was born in Seaford, DE, daughter of the late Harold and Jane (Brougham) Fortner and was a 1957 graduate of Seaford High School.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Susan was a devoted wife and dedicated her entire life to her family, not only raising her own two daughters, but selflessly helping to raise three grandchildren who were her true pride and joy. In addition to spending time with her children and grandchildren, she had an unmatched passion for opera, especially Andrea Bocelli; enjoyed sewing; and had a keen eye for interior design. She was a faithful and loving friend to many and a proud member of Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church. </strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ronald W. Truitt; her daughters, Laurie M. Capp and Jennifer L. Melendez-Truitt (wife, Rebecca); and her grandchildren, Cameron A. Capp, Cassidy J. Capp, and Samuel D. Melendez-Truitt.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Services for Susan will be held privately with her family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sue’s honor to Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church, 15 East Green Street, Middletown, DE 19709.</strong></span></p>July 4, 1939 - September 3, 202107/04/193909/03/2021
