Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Susan Huval Roberts, 92, who passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Cecilia from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 9:45 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Susan was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved Sunday gatherings with her family, which was the highlight of each week that went by. As a pastime, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, and drinking a good cup of coffee with her family and friends. Susan will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors at St. Martin Hospital, especially Dr. Debra Durham. Special thanks to Donna Roberts and Meagan Thibodeaux, who selflessly helped take care of our mom in her final days. And our loving sister, Mona (and Neil), who gave us the gift of precious time with our mom. She is survived by her three sons, Glen J. Roberts (Anita), Chris J. Roberts, and Keith J. Roberts (Kathy); two daughters, Mona (Neil Guidry) and Sonya (Jay Royston); seven grandchildren, Joshua P. Roberts, Travis J. Roberts (Ashley), Meagan P. Thibodeaux (Seth), Michele A. Roberts, Micah J. Roberts, Sye R. Royston, and Robin Roberts; six great grandchildren, Cadence Roberts, Aiden Roberts, Myles Roberts, Nolan Roberts, Khyreé Benjamin, and Gemma Roberts; and her sister, Louella Huval. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph John Roberts; parents Galbert Huval, Sr. and Ella Berard Huval; a grandchild, Trent J. Roberts; three brothers, Galbert "Dado" Huval, Jr., Paul Huval, and Edwin Huval; and three sisters, Alice Guilbeau, Genevieve Huval, and Ruth Guidry Pallbearers will be Glen J. Roberts, Chris J. Roberts, Keith J. Roberts, Joshua P. Roberts, Travis J. Roberts, and Micah Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be Neil Guidry, Jay Royston, Sye Royston, and Seth Thibodeaux.
