Herbert D. Robinson

<p><strong>Herbert D. Robinson</strong>, 90, passed away on September 7, 2021.&nbsp; He was born July 3, 1931 in Braxton County, WV to the late <strong>James</strong> and <strong>Anna Robison</strong>.&nbsp; He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War earning many medals.&nbsp; When he retired from Firestone he owned and operated Donut Haven and was also a contractor for Goodwill Industries.&nbsp; He was a Sunday School teacher for the Akron Baptist Temple for 10 years.&nbsp; For 30 years, <strong>Herb</strong> and his wife were blessed to have provided foster care for adults with specific challenges.</p> <p><strong>Herb</strong> was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, <strong>Regina M. Robinson</strong>; and 13 brothers and sisters.&nbsp; He is survived by his daughter, <strong>Jessica Robinson</strong>; sons, <strong>Randy (Debra) Robinson</strong>, <strong>Bob Robinson</strong>; grandchildren, <strong>Mason</strong>, <strong>Devin</strong>, <strong>Makinsey</strong> and <strong>Marcella Robinson</strong>, <strong>Samantha Robinson</strong>, <strong>Matthew (Sam) Robinson</strong>, <strong>Jason Albright</strong>; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, <strong>Mary Gillespie</strong>; nieces, <strong>Joann Stalnaker</strong>, <strong>Theresa (Don) Albright</strong>; and close friends, <strong>Kristel Davis</strong> and <strong>Leigh Williams</strong>.</p> <p>Friends may call at Bacher Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m., where services will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.&nbsp; Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.&nbsp;</p>
