<p style="text-align: justify;"> </p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Edith A. (Malin) Ratajczyk, age 78, of Rochester, MN, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at the Spring Valley Care Center in Spring Valley, MN.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">She was born on June 12, 1943, in Winona, to Fred and Theresa (Penchi) Malin. Edith was the first woman to be employed as a janitor with Mayo Clinic at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, where she worked for 26 years.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Edith’s greatest joy in life was the love she had for her family. She enjoyed attending the sporting and musical events of her grandchildren, and she thoroughly enjoyed family get-togethers, especially her family reunions in Italy. </p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Edith is survived by her children: Renea (Stephen) Votruba, Daniel (Elizabeth) Ratajczyk, and Kevin Ratajczyk; 9 grandchildren: Lacey and Emily Ratajczyk; Rebecca Albrecht; Jessica Retterath; and Elijah, Michael, Joel, Abel and Nathan Ratajczyk; her siblings: Jane (Don) Anderson; Fred (Eva) Malin, Jr.; Marty (Julia) Malin; Tom Malin; Mike Malin; and Steve Malin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">She was preceded in death by her son, Dave Ratajczyk; parents; her twin brothers: Robert and Richard Malin; and a sister-in-law: Karen Malin.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Visitation will be held from 9 AM until the funeral service at 10 AM on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home. Deacon Justin Green will officiate.
