JASON FORD OWENS

 

 

In the early hours of September 4, 2021, the Lord guided Jason Ford Owens, 43, to the golden gates of heaven. Jason was married to Brooke Duggan Owens and they resided in Blue Ridge, GA.    He was born on August 30, 1978 to Thomas Bruce Owens and the late Shirley Lynn Harris.   Jason was of the Baptist faith and a member of Friendship Baptist 3 Church.   He was a veteran of the United States Navy.   Jason was employed with Tennessee Valley Authority.

 

He was an amazing son, husband and father, loved his family and cherished the quality time they had together.  During his downtime, Jason enjoyed playing his guitar.

 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Lynn Harris; his grandfather, Tommy Owen; his mother-in-law, Faye Duggan and daughter, Abbie Lynn Owens.

 

Jason leaves his precious memories to his soulmate and wife, Brooke Duggan Owens; son, Connor Owens; daughter, Reagan Owens; father, Bruce (Pam) Owens; brothers, John (Jenny) Bell; Allen (Camille) Bell; Garrett Owens, Cody Kline, Jesse Kline and Cory Cline; grandmother, Marty Owens; father-in-law, Marion Duggan; along with several nieces, nephews and a lifetime of friends.

 

The family will have visitation on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm CST/ 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm EST and Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am CST/10:00 am to 12:00 noon EST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

 

Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home following the visitation on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 11:00 am CST/12:00 noon EST with Pastor Brent Upchurch and Brother Bobby Newby officiating.  Military Honors Ceremony will be conducted by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard at the graveside.

 

Interment will follow at Pine Gove Cemetery in Jasper, TN.  

 

Pallbearers are Mitchell Smith, Wesley Chastain, Garrett Owens, Allen Bell, John Bell and Sean Hudson.  Honorary pallbearers are Porky Holder, Scott Newby, Josh Owens, Brett Owens and Ryan Owens.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Friendship Baptist 3 Church, P.O. Box 246, Epworth, GA  30541.
