<p>Stanek, Joseph F., age 89 of Fridley, passed away on Sept. 3, 2021. Preceded in death by wife, Janet; parents, Andrew and Angela; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters. Survived by sons, Joe (Kristie), John, Tom (Beth); daughter, Mary Kay (Brian); grandchildren, Andy, Valerie, Ellen, Thomas, Julia, Jack, and Benjamin; great grandchildren, Aspen, Indigo and Juniper; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Joe was a man of great faith and attended church weekly. Being an Army Veteran, he was always proud to fly the American Flag. He was also proud of his Polish heritage. He loved his family unconditionally. Spending time with friends and loved ones brought him great joy throughout the years. Joe had a fantastic sense of humor and when he laughed, so did you. He was a natural athlete who loved the outdoors, playing sports, traveling, and especially fishing MN lakes. He was a skilled gardener who always shared his harvests. Joe was a humble, kind, hardworking man. He lived a wonderful life and will be incredibly missed by all who knew him. Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the care team of Health Partners Hospice.
