Carri Lang Cordele, Georgia Obituary

Carri Lang

Carri White Lang, 39 of Vienna, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021 at her residence. She fought the fight, she kept the faith and she heard well done good and faithful servant. Wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, niece, are some of the roles that Carri happily performed in her short lifetime. Her love of family and caring for family were the dearest things in this life to her. Even in her last days she was more concerned about the ones she was leaving behind than she was in where she was going. She knew without a shadow of doubt where she was going, and she didn’t worry about that. She wanted to ensure that her family would be taken care of. Not a member of her family, nor close friends, ever wondered if Carri loved them. She would tell you often how much she loved you. One of her greatest joys in this life was the annual vacation trip to the mountains that she impatiently waited for and oh the memories that were created on those trips. Although she loved the mountains she was a water person having spent most of her adult life living on the lake. She spent countless hours in the boat on Lake Blackshear fishing, skiing, and enjoying time with her family. Not only did she enjoy fishing she thoroughly enjoyed cooking for her family and friends: still preparing home cooked meals almost every day for them. One of the last things she was able to do was spend time at the beach with her family. Something she so wanted to do one last time. Carri is survived by her husband of 25 years and faithful caregiver, Greg Lang, her children Katlyn (Hunter) Adams, Tyler (Jessica) Lang and Kylie (Blake Burch) Lang. Her parents are Charles (Ellen) White and Renee (Michael) Gordon and Kirby and Connie Hauesler. Also surviving is her maternal grandmother Montez Bennett, her brothers Chris (Robin) White, Justin (April) Hauesler, Robbie (Harley) Hauesler, Howell Kaylee) White, Ed White, and her sisters Kathryn White and Valerie Hauesler, and the light of her life, her Grandson Kip. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Especially one Aunt, Teresa Kennedy, who was like a second mother to Carri. Teresa was always loyal to Carri and attentive to her every need. Biologically she was not a Hauesler, but she had been in the Hauesler family for 37 of her 39 years. She always was welcomed by this family and also considered them her aunts, uncles, and cousins. She always maintained a close relationship with all of her family, blood or not. Second to her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was her love of family. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Bob Bennett, her paternal grandparents, Alton and Frankie White, and her other grandparents E. C. and Lola Hauesler. Also preceding her in death was a brother Charlie Hauesler, a nephew Jax White and a dear special cousin with whom she shared a special bond, Drew Hauesler. Donations to honor Carri may be made to Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University Development Office, 1762 Clifton Road, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30322. A service to honor and remember the life she lived will be held for Carri at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, September 5, 2021 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
