<p><br /> &quot;Ernie&quot; (Ernest) Edward DeLuca passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 with some of his children at his side.</p> <p>He was born on December 5th, 1947 to Salvatore &quot;Sam&quot; and Josephine &quot;Jo&quot; DeLuca. When he was 18 years old he was drafted into the Vietnam War where he served bravely until it was time to come home. Before he went to Vietnam, he got married to Myra and had a daughter (Melissa). He was married again a few years later to Lynda and her daughters (Tyra and Paige). They later had two other daughters (Carli and Brittany) together and raised their family for almost 20 years. A few years ago, he found out he also had a Son (Joey) whom he finally got to meet and have a relationship with.&nbsp;</p> <p>Ernie loved all of his children very much and did his best to be a good father to them. He worked hard and was able to provide for his family and have a wonderful life in the process.&nbsp;</p> <p>Ernie was quite gifted at fixing any kind of vehicle or machinery. He was a mechanic his entire life and would work many side jobs fixing cars and boats to help provide for his children. He loved camping, hunting and fishing. He also loved going to the swap meet and never passed a yard sale. He had an special love for salami and the stinkiest cheese he could find. He also loved babies and they loved him too. He could take a crying baby and have them giggling and happy in no time.&nbsp;</p> <p>Ernie is preceded in death by his parents Salvatore &quot;Sam&quot; and Josephine, his daughter Brittany, great grandchildren Talya and Nevaeh, Lynda, his sister Barbara and his brother David. He leaves behind his children Melissa (Chris), Tyra (Daren), Paige (Brandon), Joey (Beckie) and Carli (Blake). Siblings Gloria, Mary, Paul, Joni, Joseph and Michael, grandchildren, family and friends.</p> <p>Ernie will be missed and his absence is already felt.</p> <p>His celebration of life and services will be held at a later date due to Covid.&nbsp;</p> <p><br /> &nbsp;</p>
