Scott L. Nulph Obituary

Our beloved brother, Scott (Scotty) Nulph of Wahpeton, ND passed away quietly on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.  Scott was the son of the late Lawrence and Margaret Nulph, also of Wahpeton. Scott was born on November 23, 1964.  He graduated from Wahpeton High School in 1983. From his early childhood, Scott had an incredible passion for all things sports.  He turned that enthusiasm into a lifelong dream and successful career.  After attending the Brown School of Broadcasting in Minneapolis, MN, Scott landed a job in Lisbon, ND.  He used that experience as a springboard to become a sports reporter for the Wahpeton Daily News.  This led him to many sporting adventures, including stops in Ames, IA; Athens, GA; Stillwater, OK; Fargo, ND; Laramie, WY; and finally, back home to Wahpeton working as the Sports Director for KBMW.  During Scott’s career, he had the opportunity to witness a lot of memorable sporting events and meet numerous sporting legends.  Scott was one of those rare individuals who truly enjoyed going to work every day and felt privileged to share his amazing broadcasting and journalistic skills with us.

Scott is survived by his sister Cynthia (William) Larson, brother Jeffrey (Lorna) Nulph, brother by a different mother Mike (Lee) Jones, sister by a different mother DaNell Albers, nieces and nephews-Ambre, Nicole, Melissa, Dylan and their families, Aunt Shirley Marquardt, Aunt Priscilla Krause, Uncle Darrell (Margaret) Nulph and numerous cousins.

A private memorial and burial for family and friends to be held at a later date.  Please save us a seat in that heavenly stadium and as Scotty would say-SKOL VIKINGS!
