Charles “Chuck” Vandhitch, Jr., 48, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021, after a brief illness. A graveside service to honor his life will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, at 1:00 P.M. There will be a time of visitation starting at 12:00 P.M. at the cemetery.
Chuck was employed at PanaPrint and he loved going to Waffle House each morning to enjoy a cup of coffee. He also coached girls’ softball at the Byron Recreation Department but most of all he was a loving father, son and Pop-pop.
Chuck is survived by his two daughters: Loretta Nicole Williams (James) and Rebecca Lynn Vandhitch; his parents: Charles Claiborne Vandhitch, Sr. and Loretta Esther Redd Vandhitch; a sister, Esther Jean Davis; 3 grandchildren: Logan Grace McAlister, Tanner Allan Kitchens, Huntlin Rae Williams; a niece, Amanda Washington; a nephew Nathan Davis; and a great-nephew, Isaiah Washington. He is preceded in death by his nephew, Andrew Scott Davis; however, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
