Calvin Wilson O'Donnell

The passing of Calvin Wilson O'Donnell, husband of the late Marie “Claudia” (Comeau) O'Donnell of Grand Lake Road, NB, occurred on August 29, 2021 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 20, 1952 in Carroll's Crossing, NB, he was the son of Jean (Parker) O'Donnell and the late Victor O'Donnell. Calvin spent many years working a skidder in the woods before working as a caretaker for Arthur Irving’s camps and several years as a fishing guide. He also spent a few seasons as a trainer for the Doaktown Hitmen hockey team. Calvin enjoyed fishing, hunting, hockey and cooking. He especially loved time spent with family and friends. Calvin is survived by his children, Tammy O'Donnell of Fredericton, Hollie Warren (Jamie) of Carroll's Crossing, Junior Mullins (Sherry) of Alberta, Darlene Mullins (Chris) of Black's Harbour, Ava Mullins (Steven) of Black's Harbour, David Mullins (Paula) of Doaktown; nine grandchildren, Kalub, Emma, Jasmine, Celina, Stephanie, Janessa, Misty, Christina; 12 great grandchildren; daughter in law, Sid Mullins of Black’s Harbour; sister, Ruth Price (James) of Priceville; brother, Sherman O'Donnell of Carroll's Crossing; three nephews; and his best friend, Etta Munn. Besides his father, Calvin was predeceased by his son, Daniel Mullins; and grandson, J.R. Visitation will take place at Abundant Life Church, 583 Main Street, Doaktown on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The Funeral will take place at Abundant Life Church on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2 pm. Interment will take place in Abundant Life Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to NB Lung Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Kidney Foundation. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
