Carl Granato Jr., 82 of Follansbee, WV, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Brightwood Center, Follansbee, WV.

Carl was born on January 27, 1939 in Weirton, WV. He was the son of the late Carl Granato Sr. and Mary (Aftanas) Granato.

Carl was baptist Catholic. He worked as a truck driver with Weirton Ice and Coal. Many will remember Carl for his love and craftsmanship of craving items out of the oak scrapes from the mill.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Louis (McConnell) Granato and his son, Carl Clinton Granato.

Carl is survived by his a granddaughter, Kayla Granato of Newell, WV, two great grandchildren, Mya and Addie, two sisters, Angelica Rankin of Oakdale, PA, Patricia Wohnhas and her husband, Edward of Follansbee, WV and Barbara Jones and her husband, Lloyd of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

Private viewing and service was held at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717 with Funeral Chaplain, Reverend Sharon Van Dam, Officiating.

Private interment will be held at Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg, WV.
