Robert “Mark” Payne, age 66 of Douglasville passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021. He was born on August 24, 1955 in Atlanta, Georgia son of Bobby C. Payne and the late Rachel Pickern Payne.Mark was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a retired locksmith. Mark was a Christian and attended The Church at Chapel Hill. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Glenis Butler Payne; children, Jeannie Hawkins (Matthew), Amanda McInturff (Chad), Robert Brian Payne; grandchildren, Logan Hawkins, Caleb Hawkins, Landon Oliveros, Alayna McInturff; sister, Mary Kirk. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Payne. The family will receive friends at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel in Douglasville on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The funeral will be held at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of the funeral home. According to his wishes he will be cremated after the service.
