Crystal Nix

Crystal Nix, 35, of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away August 27, 2021, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on May 15, 1986, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and was the daughter of Gene Johnson and Tonya (Eads) Stewart. Crystal was united in marriage to Joshua Nix on October 24, 2020 . She was preceded in death by her grandparents Richard and Delores Johnson, Bill Eads, Jean Watkins and her papaw Jack Wallace; step-father, Gordon Stewart; aunt, Jeannie Redman; cousin, Christopher Redman; grandfather-in-law, James Nix. Crystal loved her boys and also enjoyed her little business Nix's Creations designing custom t-shirts. Crystal is survived by her father Gene Johnson and wife Carla of Piggott, Arkansas; mother, Tonya Stewart of Sikeston, Missouri; husband, Joshua Nix of Paragould, Arkansas; seven sons, Christopher Johnson, Cash Johnson, Samuel Nix, Alex Nix, Leyland Nix, Elliott "EJ" Nix and Dom Nix of Paragould, Arkansas; four brothers, Travis Johnson and wife Shawna of Piggott, Arkansas, Brian Johnson and wife Kristy of Lafe, Arkansas, Michael Johnson and wife Megan of Paragould, Arkansas, Reid Lucy and wife Rebekah of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; father-in-law, James Kevin Nix and wife Marie; mother-in-law, Lora Nix; her nieces and nephews; and the rest of her family and friends. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 10:00 am at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Loran Johnson officiating. Burial is in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas . Pallbearers will be Richard Johnson, Travis Johnson, Michael Johnson, Brian Johnson, Reid Lucy, Quinton Malden, Michael Ragsdell, Troy Redmon, William Eads Jr. and Greg Hall . Honorary pallbearers will be her nephew Robert Johnson and son Alex Nix. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Monday, August 31, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
