Clarence R. Colgrove, 83 of Stirum, North Dakota died Friday, August 27, 2021 at CHI Oakes Hospital, Oakes, North Dakota.

Clarence was born on December 8, 1937 the son of Albert and Irma (Vasey) Colgrove in Mott, North Dakota. He was raised and educated in Lemmon, South Dakota. As a young man he enlisted in the United States Army and after receiving an honorable discharge, Clarence moved to Gwinner, North Dakota to start his career at Bobcat. He was united in marriage to Eileen Martin on August 11, 1963 at the United Methodist Church in Lisbon. North Dakota. They would eventually make their home in Stirum. Clarence retired from Bobcat in 2000.

Clarence enjoyed woodworking, playing cards, reading, hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed pool and bowling in his younger years.

Clarence is survived by his loving wife, Eileen Colgrove; his children, Darren (Maria) Colgrove of Backus, MN, Lynette Evenson of Gwinner, ND and Steven Colgrove of Wahpeton, ND; six grandchildren, Dillon (Lisa) Evenson, Skyler Evenson, Courtney Colgrove, Christen Colgrove, Brendan Colgrove and Tyler Colgrove; four great-grandchildren, Annika, Beckham, Cora & Emmitt; siblings, Albert (Delores) Colgrove of Lemmon, SD; Alberta (Vernon) Hemminger of Clear Lake, MN; Kenneth (Kathy) Colgrove of Alexandria, MN; Vernon (Sue) Colgrove of Maple Grove, MN and Janice (Rod) Peterson of Lemmon, SD; brother-in-law, Jeff (LaNora) Martin of Gwinner, ND numerous nieces and nephews.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, LeRoy and Arthur, mother-in-law, Enid Martin.
